These folks are one of
the veteran web companies selling
“Maine Lobster”. The company blog
site notes that “we sell the freshest
lobsters you will find… Our lobsters
are caught off the shores of Northern
Maine and Southern Canada”. The
company ships orders from a facility
in Brewer, ME ( we don’t yet know
if it is theirs or they have a fulfillment
deal with a facility owner). One
big attraction of TheLobsterNet
is that they offer a wide array
of gift products like complete lobster/clambakes
in a pot. These dinners come complete
with chowder and dessert. If you
have a good cooking pot, then you
might look for a vendor you like
for the lobsters, clams etc. But
if you don’t have a pot or want
to give a unique gift, these are
terrific. We really appreciate that
they ship almost all of their complete
dinners in solid enamel pots rather
than the tin cans some other sellers
use. The enamel pots are much better
for cooking, easier to handle and
make a great keepsake. Gift certificates
are available and the lobster dinners
in a pot make terrific gifts. Along
with the lobsters, their boxes include
Sea Salt, Bibs, Placemats, Wetnaps,
Seaweed & a Cookbook They also have
a “Lobster of the Month” club which
is another fun gift idea. The Lobsternet
folks are solid suppliers and a
good place if you’re looking for
gift ideas. Offices are in Antrim
N.H., in the central part of that
state, 266 miles and a 4 ½ hour
drive from their Brewer shipping
facility (according to Google maps).
