This is the web site for A.C. Carver company in Beals. Carver is one of the biggest wholesalers in the state, with a holding capacity of 500,000 pounds. Carver got into the retail web business in 2005 and does a very respectable job. Our lobsters arrived very fresh and alive and tasted just as good as they looked. The package arrived with some nicely printed instructions on how to cook and eat the critters. It also included a packet of sea salt for cooking. Carver is a large pound owner and the lobsters may hang around in the holding tanks for a few days which is OK because they are well taken care of. The upside of a large pound owner is that they can give you good product – as few or as many as you want – all year long. Some smaller operations may be seasonal or unable to fill “banquet orders” of a hundred or more.
