Gurnett runs a lobster and seafood processing plant in Brunswick. Boats bring their haul to their wharf facility daily where they have in water holding pens. Aside from fresh live lobster, the company has a variety of seafood for sale but two items stand out. First, you can buy shucked clams, Fat, fresh and tender, buying clams already shucked and ready for cooking saves all the work of getting them out of the shell. They also make their own clam chowder daily – out of whole belly clams. No diced up clam bits here, just whole belly clams in chowder, a treat for the real clam lover.
